Project: Leading Lines, Balance, and Symmetry

1. This photo is called In the Element
2. This was taken at Playa Caldera, Costa Rica (Caldera Beach)
3. This demonstrates asymmetry because it portrays a young girl who has been playing in the ocean all day, standing and staring out at the ocean, but she is off center. The focus is not on the girl, but of the ocean itself. Your attention is mostly drawn to the ocean, but after looking at the girl, you can almost sense her love of the ocean,

1. This photo is called A Family at Play.
2. This was taken in Playa Caldera, Costa Rica (Caldera Beach)
3. This demonstrates balance and symmetry. On the bottom half, you have the rock. On the top half, you have the family, ocean, and trees, creating balance, each side being filled almost equally. If you fold it in from left to right, the image is almost perfect, giving it symmetry.

1, This photo is called "Trees in the Sand".
2. It was taken in Playa Caldera, Costa Rica (Caldera Beach)
3. This demonstrates leading lines because the lines in the sand that were created by the outgoing waves, lead to the ocean. Though there is some room to fill, your eyes immediately travel onward to see where the lines point to. It creates a feeling of delicacy, which is what the waves look like in this picture.

2. It was taken on a alleyway in Puntarenas, Costa Rica
3. This photo demonstrates the Rule of Thirds concept. You can identify the thirds from right to left by the door in the middle of the orange house, the switching over from orange to white, and the end of the white house.

2. Taken in Puntarenas, Costa Rica
3. This photo demonstrates good color. The pink flowers are warm colors and the green compliment them. The blue in the background is a cool color, which compliments the pink and green. The white clouds also adds a nice touch.

2. It was taken in Puntarenas, Costa Rica.
3. This demonstrates a mixture of Rule of Thirds and Color. Each of the fruits are a third in and of itself, and the three colors are all warm and draw the attention of your eye.
